I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology Systems at East Carolina University. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2020. Prior to joining ECU, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas Permian Basin (2020–2022). I am an active member of IEEE and the IEEE Communications Society. In addition, I serve as a reviewer and technical program committee member for several leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, as well as flagship conferences such as INFOCOM, GLOBECOM, ICC, and VTC.

Research Interests:

  • misbehavior detection,
  • cyber-physical systems,
  • vehicular networks,
  • explainable AI,
  • large language models (LLM) for cyber defense and response.
